Our classes are taught by Roger Wendell, a retired US Army paratrooper, former infantry company commander and staff officer.  Roger is both a USCCA (United States Concealed Carry Association) and a state of Florida  Certified Firearms Instructor and Range Safety Officer (RSO), and an NRA Life Patron Member.  He is a graduate of the Israeli IMI Active Shooter Prevention & Response Course, and also holds a Florida Security Guard License, a Florida State wide Firearms License plus a Concealed Carry permit.  He has been in the church and school security business since retiring from the US Army in 1980.  Classes include Basic gun safety, Concealed Carry Permit training classes, Florida Gun Laws, and advanced handgun training.  

• Roger not only teaches the basic hand gun safety and firearms training, but the requirements of the Florida Concealed Carry laws.   Our firearms training classes are taught in Palm Coast, and the range portion at either Bunnell or Daytona ranges. We teach more in-depth skills than many other CCW classes. Your safety and success is our priority. We teach safe and effective firearms training and non deadly force defensive techniques from beginners to expert shooters. 
• Why do I need a CCW course? This is a question many people are asking now that Florida went to Constitutional Carry in 2024.  Would you drive a car or fly an airplane with no training or even learning what the laws were?  I hope not.  Plus, if you want to travel with your firearm, many states will not recognize Constitutional Carry but will recognize a Concealed Carry Permit.

• Roger goes beyond the basics and includes training on different types of handguns, types of ammo, and hands-on training of clearing handgun malfunctions, field stripping and cleaning handguns, marksmanship and defensive shooting techniques, non-lethal alternatives and how to avoid confrontations in the first place, whenever possible.  We teach when one can and cannot legally use lethal force, and where you can and cannot legally carry. Emphasis is on defensive shooting techniques vs marksmanship. Our classes are small, which allows for more one-on-one training and conclude with time at the range demonstrating the students' safe handling of their weapons with real guns and real ammo, so students can get the feel of their firearms.  If you do not have your own firearm, we have a selection of firearms we can loan you for the class, or the opportunity to try different brands and/or calibers while you are here. 
• Classes For Concealed Carry are typically  Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:00 am to approx 2:00 pm, including range time.  Our schedule does change from time to time so it is best to either call 910.624.0705 or at least scroll down to the very bottom of this website and click on "sign up" to see our schedule.   Also, private classes can usually be arranged at other times by appointment.

• Home Defense, Personal Defense 201, advanced pistol marksmanship, and private classes on other days can usually be arranged by appointment.
